Springfield City Manager Tom Finnie will retire from his job as chief executive officer and administrative officer of the city on April 24th. He's served as city manager for Springfield since 1990 but began working for the city as Director of Personnel in 1973. During his tenure as city manager, Finnie has overseen the turnaround of Center City and the creation of Jordan Valley Park. As his retirement approaches, we take this opportunity to visit with Tom Finnie...about his life, the people and events that drew him into public service and his plans for the future.
