The Ozarks Model Railroad Association will host the 40th annual Train Show and Mini-Frisco Convention tomorrow (3/24) at the Springfield Expo Center, 635 E. St. Louis.  Activities include a train simulator, rides on the Kiddy Train, a switching challenge and model railroads.  Six Frisco Railroad retirees will share stories from their time on the job. And there will be more than 150 vendor tables.   Show organizer, Ron Williams, talks about the show in the interview below:

The Missouri State High School Activities Association State Basketball Championship continues through tomorrow (3/10) at JQH Arena and Hammons Student Center at Missouri State University.  

Sequiota Cave Boat Tours will be offered tomorrow and Sunday (3/10-3/11) at Sequiota Park in Springfield.  Registration is required by today (3/9) at (417) 833-8647.

Springfield Regional Arts Council

First Friday Art Walk is tonight (3/2) from 6 to 10 in downtown Springfield. 

Singer Alicia Olatuja will be in concert tonight (3/2) at 7:30 at the Walton Arts Center, 495 W. Dickson in Fayetteville, Arkansas.  Olatuja has been described by The New York Times as “a singer with a strong and luscious tone and an amiably regal presence on stage.”  Click here for more information.

The 28th annual Lawn and Garden Show is today and tomorrow (2/23-2/24) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday (2/25) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds.
