The Springfield Conservation Nature Center will celebrate its 30th anniversary with an open house Friday (10/5) from 5 to 9 p.m.  There will be cake and a timeline of the nature center’s last 30 years.   A live musical performance by musician and primitive skills specialist Bo Brown starts at 7 pm. No registration is required for the open house, but you must register for the concert by calling (417) 888-4237.  Learn more here

MSU Chinese students and the Scholars Association will celebrate the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival Friday (9/21) from 4 to 8 p.m. at Phelps Grove Park.  The event will include games, shows and Chinese food, including moon cakes.  Tickets are required for entry and are $10.

NASA

Bennett Spring State Park in Lebanon will present “Ozark Astronomy” Friday night (7/27) at 8:45.  A telescope will be set up, and you can view a variety of constellations and planets. 

Springfield Regional Arts Council

First Friday Art Walk is tonight (4/6) from 6 to 10 at several venues in downtown Springfield. 

A Pre-K Open Studio Session will be held this morning (4/6) from 10:30 to noon at the Springfield Art Museum, 1111 E. Brookside Dr.  Classes are free, but registration is required. 

Midtown Neighborhood Association

The 26th annual Midtown Victorian Homes Tour is tonight (12/1) from 5 to 9 and tomorrow (12/2) from noon to 5.  Tour five historic homes, Central High School and the Drury Diversity Center decked out for the holidays. 

The Clayworks Student Organization at Missouri State University is hosting a pottery sale today (12/1) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Plaster Student Union.
