An Arbor Day celebration and screening of the film, The Lorax, will start tonight (4/27) at 7 at the Peace Through People Pavilions at the Springfield Botanical Gardens, 2400 S. Scenic.  Take lawn chairs and blankets.

Springfield Regional Arts Council

First Friday Art Walk is tonight (4/6) from 6 to 10 at several venues in downtown Springfield. 

A Pre-K Open Studio Session will be held this morning (4/6) from 10:30 to noon at the Springfield Art Museum, 1111 E. Brookside Dr.  Classes are free, but registration is required.

The All School Exhibition continues through April 29 at the Springfield Art Museum featuring art from kids in all grades at Springfield public, private and parochial schools. 

Springfield Little Theatre presents Madagascar, A Musical Adventure Jr. through April 8 at the Landers Theatre, 311 E. Walnut.

The Ozarks Model Railroad Association will host the 40th annual Train Show and Mini-Frisco Convention tomorrow (3/24) at the Springfield Expo Center, 635 E. St. Louis.  Activities include a train simulator, rides on the Kiddy Train, a switching challenge and model railroads.  Six Frisco Railroad retirees will share stories from their time on the job. And there will be more than 150 vendor tables.   Show organizer, Ron Williams, talks about the show in the interview below:
