"Discover Nature: Animal Bingo," for all ages, will be held Friday (12/28) from 1 to 2 at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center.  

"Bullet Journaling 101"will be held Friday (12/28) at 4 p.m. for anyone 16 and older at the Willard Branch Library.  Registration is required.  

The program, "Nature Art: The Art of Woodcarving," will be held Saturday (12/29) from 11 a.m. to noon at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center for anyone 12 and older.  Southern Missouri Woodcarving Artists will teach carving techniques.  Registration is required.  

Members of Southern Missouri Woodcarving Artists will demonstrate their craft from 1 to 4 Saturday (12/29) at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center.  Stop by anytime.  Learn more here.  

Build-it Saturday is Saturday (12/29) at 11 a.m. for kids in grades K-8 at the Republic Branch Library.  .  Legos and other building materials will be available.  

Saturday Movie Night starts at 6 p.m. Saturday (12/29) at the Library Station for anyone 13 and older.  See the film, "Suicide Squad," rated PG-13.  

The Missouri State University women's basketball team will host Little Rock Sunday (12/30) at 2 p.m. at JQH Arena.  Learn more here.

The Branson Gift of Lights holiday light display is open nightly through January 1 at Shepherd of the Hills Expressway at Expressway Lane.  

The Festival of Lights holiday light display is open nightly through December 31 at Highways 37 and 60 in Monett.  

The Christmas Lights of the Ozarksholiday light display is at Finley River Park in Ozark, 1075 N. Riverside, through January 8.  

The Christmas Tree Forestis at the Crescent Hotel Gardens, 75 Prospect in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, through January 1.  More than 30 trees are on display, and visitors can vote for their favorite.  Proceeds benefit local charities.  

Michele Skalicky has worked at KSMU since the station occupied the old white house at National and Grand. She enjoys working on both the announcing side and in news and has been the recipient of statewide and national awards for news reporting. She likes to tell stories that make a difference. Michele enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking, camping and leisurely kayaking.
