Family Fridays in the Garden continues Friday night (8/31) at Nathanael Greene-Close Memorial Park, 2400 S. Scenic in Springfield.  The program, “From Garden to Grocer,” starts at 7:30.  Meet on the Springfield-Greene County Botanical Center’s rooftop garden. 

The last “Yoga on the Square” for the summer will start at noon Friday (8/31) on Park Central Square.  Take yoga mats and water.

The program, “Ozark Astronomy,” will be held Friday night (8/31) at 8:45 at Bennett Spring State Park near Lebanon.  Look through a telescope at summer constellations and planets. 

The film, “Mission Impossible,” rated PG-13, will be shown Friday afternoon (8/31) at 3 at the Fair Grove Branch Library.  Popcorn will be provided.  Learn more here

The Moxie Cinema’s On Stage series will feature the film, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time,” Saturday afternoon (9/1) at 1. 

The Essentials:  Musicals series at the Moxie Cinema, 305 S. Campbell, will feature the film, “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” Sunday afternoon (9/2) at 3. 

The Banjo Rally International is being held in Eureka Springs, Arkansas through Saturday (9/1).  It’s a chance for players of all acoustic instruments to get together. 

Artillery Demonstrations will be held Saturday (9/1) hourly from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Tour Road Stop 5 at Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield.  The demonstrations will highlight the role of field artillery at the Battle of Wilson’s Creek. 

The program, “George Washington Carver, Struggle for Education in a Segregated America,” will be held Saturday and Sunday (9/1-9/2) at 1 at George Washington Carver National Monument in Diamond, MO. 

A law enforcement ranger will share the ABCs of bike riding during a ride Saturday (9/1) at 1 at Bennett Spring State Park near Lebanon.  Learn more here

A Dutch oven cooking class will start Saturday night (9/1) at 7 at Echo Bluff State Park in Eminence. 

The exhibit, “Birthplace of Route 66, Memories of the Mother Road,” is currently on display at the History Museum on the Square on Park Central Square in Springfield. 

The Lebanon Farmer’s Market will be open Saturday (9/1) from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in downtown Lebanon, off Jefferson by the railroad tracks.  

The C-Street City Market will be open Saturday (9/1) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. near the Footbridge on Commercial Street. 

The Greater Ozarks Farmers’ Market will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday (9/1) in the southeast corner of the Battlefield Mall Parking Lot. 

Farmers’ Market of the Ozarks will be open Saturday (9/1) from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2144 E. Republic Rd. in Springfield.

The Eureka Springs, Arkansas Farmer’s Marketwill be open Saturday (9/1) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Eureka Springs Community Center, 44 Kingshighway. 

The Joplin History and Mineral Museum is hosting the exhibit,“Lest Liberty Perish: Missouri in the Great War,” through September 22. 

Sunday Make and Play will be held Sunday (9/2) from 2 to 4 for families with kids from infants through third grade.  Drop by for a hands-on, interactive experience with a maker, play and art focus.
