Friends of the Library will host a giant spring book sale beginning Tuesday, April 24th. KSMU’s Brittany Donnellan has details.

The book sale will run until Sunday, April 29that Remington’s in Springfield. Friends of the Library members are invited to preview and buy items on Monday. The sale will feature cassettes and record albums, DVDs and VHS tapes, puzzles and board games, and of course, books.  Kathleen O’Dell, community relations director for the Springfield-Greene County Library District, says the sale offers people a chance to take home some great books without spending a lot of money.

“The prices just can’t be beat. Children’s books are .50 cents or less. Adult and young adult books and most audiovisual books are just a dollar or less and better books are two dollars and up.”

The book sale is open to the public.  All proceeds will benefit the Springfield-Greene County Library District. For more information, you can visit www.thelibrary.org
