SPD Update: Missing Springfield Girl Found Safe

Springfield Police Department

Update at 10:44 AM:   Springfield Police Department Lt. Tony Vienhage confirms that 8-year-old girl Rosalee Clark has been found this morning, and that she appears to be unharmed.  Vienhage told reporters that the child appears to have stayed the night at a neighbor's apartment.  According to Vienhage, patrol officers did an exhaustive search to try to locate Rosalee.  He said they knocked on nearly every door at the apartment complex where she lived but did not get an answer at every one, including the apartment where she was located.  Vienhage said Rosalee had gone to stay with a different neighbor while her mother transported someone to the hospital.  The investigation is ongoing.

Original Story:  The Springfield Police Department has issued an Endangered Person Advisory for an eight-year-old girl.  Rosalee Naomi Mildred Clark left Apartment I3 at 2336 N. Bolivar Rd. to walk to her own apartment, G3, about 75-feet away at around 12:41 this morning and never made it home.

Rosalee is white, 4’4” tall, 75 pounds with light brown hair.  She was wearing a red  polo shirt, gray pants and black sandals.

Anyone with information should call 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Springfield Police Department at 417-864-1810.
