The Mystery Hour is back to tape three new episodes on Friday, October 19.

The late night talk show hosted by Jeff Houghton is taped in front of a live audience at the Gillioz Theatre in Springfield. For the shows, Houghton brings in different guests.

“This time we’re bringing in guests all from out of town. So, we tape three half-hour episodes back-to-back-to-back,” Houghton said.

This week’s episodes will feature Allie Goertz, the editor of MAD Magazine, Emma Willmann, a stand-up comedian, and Tommie Haines and Mike Zahs, the makers of the award-winning documentary “Saving Brinton.”

The taping will also feature the music of Bryan Copeland, Alexa Kilgore, and Papa Green Shoes.

This is the show’s eighth season on television. Locally, The Mystery Hour airs on Fox 5.

Those interested in attending the live taping can get their tickets at the Gillioz box office, themysteryhour.com or gillioztheatre.com.

The taping begins at 7:30 p.m. with an after-party at the Hotel Vandivort.
