  • Remember to call ahead to be sure the weather hasn’t cancelled an event.
  • The Springfield Conservation Nature Center Owl Prowl and Evening Stroll that had been scheduled for tonight (1/29) has been cancelled.
  • A dance is held each Friday evening at 7 at the West Plains Senior Center. All ages are welcome. For more information, 256-4055.
  • The HBA’s 2010 Home Show is today (1/29) from noon to 8, tomorrow (1/30) from 10 to 8 and Sunday (1/31) from 11 to 5 at the Springfield Expo Center.
  • The MO State men’s basketball team will face northern Iowa tomorrow afternoon (1/30) at 2:05 at JQH Arena. For tickets, 836-7678.

  • Learn how to select, plant and prune trees at a program tomorrow morning (1/30) at 10 at the Nature Center. To register, 888-4237. Take tree samples, photos and questions about your trees to the Nature Center between 11:30 and 1 tomorrow and have those questions answered.
  • A Discovery Table at the Nature Center tomorrow will teach you about nature scrapbooking. Stop by anytime between 10 and 1.
