  • Spend an evening with photographer Tim Ernst tonight (12/4) at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center. There will be two programs: at 5 and at 7. To register, 888-4237. The Nature Center will have the trails open and patrolled tonight from 6 to 9, and the visitor’s center and gift shop will be open. Enjoy hot chocolate in front of a crackling fire. Admission is free.
  • Help raise money for United Way by attending the “Festivus for the Rest of Us: Holiday Craft Bazaar today (12/4) from 10 to 4 outside Olin Library on the Drury campus.
  • The Evangel Music Department will hold its annual Christmas Concert to benefit Ozarks Food Harvest tonight (12/4) at 7:45 in the Chapel Auditorium. Admission is a nonperishable food item or a cash donation.
  • The 18th Annual Midtown Victorian Christmas Homes Tour is tonight (12/4) from 5 to 9 and tomorrow (12/5) from noon to 5. To find out more, 873-7149.
  • The Springfield Regional Arts Council invites you to decorate cookies and make marbled glass ornaments, holiday cards and gift tags tonight (12/4) from 6 to 8 and tomorrow (12/5) from 2 to 4 at the Creamery Arts Center. Admission is free.

  • The 28th Annual Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes is tomorrow (12/5) in Eureka Springs. For more information, 479-253-9582.

  • The city of Monett will hold its annual Christmas Parade tomorrow morning (12/5) at 10.
  • Highlandville’s Christmas Parade starts tomorrow afternoon (12/5) at 2.
  • Nixa's Christmas parade will start at the Nixa Community Center tomorrow afternoon at 2. It will loop over Highway 14, go up Main St. and end at Nixa Junior High.
  • Candyland at the Footbridge is tomorrow (12/5) from noon to 2 at the footbridge on Commercial Street.
  • Watch for birds with members of the Greater Ozarks Audubon Society tomorrow (12/5) at the Aldrich Waterfowl Refuge tomorrow (12/5). Meet at 8 on the Northeast side of the Lowe’s parking lot at Highway 13 and Norton Rd. To find out more, 860-9505.
  • The West Plains Regional Animal Shelter will host their annual Christmas Dinner and Silent Auction tomorrow night (12/5) at 6 at the Howell County Rural fire Station. To learn more, 256-8438.

  • Ice skate for free tomorrow night (12/5) from 5:45 to 6:45 at Jordan Valley Ice Park. Skate rental is $2.50.
  • The Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park will host Christmas at the Farm tomorrow (12/5) from 10 to 8 and Sunday (12/6) from noon to 8. There will be holiday make and take crafts, ornament and wreath making classes, horse-drawn wagon rides and pictures with Santa. For more information, 837-5949.
  • The Ash Grove Branch Library will hold a Holiday Open House tomorrow (12/5) from 10:30 to 2:30 following the Ash Grove Christmas Parade. Kids can make a holiday ornament.
