The Council of Churches of the Ozarks will release a new book on October 18th as part of its 40th anniversary celebration at Drury University. KSMU's Chasity Mayes reports.

The book, entitled "Dumb Luck or Divine Guidance: My Thirty-One Years with the Council of Churches of the Ozarks" will describe the thirty-one year run of Dorsey Levelle’s career as the founding executive director of the council.

In the book, Levelle and his co-writer, Wayne Groner, also expose many of the personal experiences that Levelle went through during his time as director.

Levelle says he was encouraged by family and friends to write the book.

The book will be available for purchase at the Council of Churches of the Ozarks as well as at Drury University during the anniversary celebration on the 18th.

For more information you can call 862-3586.

For KSMU News, I’m Chasity Mayes.
