Listen in Think you’ve got what it takes to earn the title “Public Health Hero?” KSMU’s Missy Shelton reports on a new program from the Springfield-Greene County Health Department. If you’ve been thinking about ways to improve your health, the Springfield-Greene County Health Department invites you to put your plans into action and compete for the title of “Public Health Hero.” McReynolds says that during the five week program, the public can follow the progress of participants online. Weekly winners will receive prizes that promote a healthy lifestyle. And at the end of the five-week period, the public will vote for an overall winner who will receive 15 free visits to the Chesterfield Family Center. McReynolds says she hopes the program will demonstrate that small changes can make a big difference in an individual’s overall health. Follow the Public Health Hero Program here.
