The winter weather overnight has made travel a tricky proposition this morning. KSMU’s Missy Shelton reports.

If you’re headed out today, do allow extra time to get where you’re going because roads are slick and in many places are still covered with ice, sleet and snow. Still, road crews have made some head way.
Bob Edwards is public information officer for the Missouri Department of Transportation. He has an update on the road conditions in the area.

Edwards says Monday afternoon’s weather presented a real challenge to road crews.

Even if the roads are better today than they were yesterday, Edwards says it’s still important to be extra careful.

And the winter weather isn’t over…another round is expected to whip through the Ozarks this afternoon, possibly creating more travel problems for drivers.
