Also, a couple of cuts from local band Brother Wiley, and tracks from Buddy Mondlock, Hillary Scott, and Julie Sutton, who appeared on KSMU's "Studio Live Performance" a few days ago.

Emily goes in two directions tonight... first, since it's summer, summertime songs. And, since July 11 is "7/11", songs about luck. Artists include Gordon Lightfoot, Kate Wolf, Alison Kraus, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Robin & Linda Williams.

Emily's Fourth of July show deal with the heritage and beauty of this country, with selections by Don Conoscenti, Bruce Springsteen, Pete Seeger, Simon and Garfunkel, Dar Williams, Sara Watkins, Steve Canaday, and Burning Sky.

Local band Big Smith kicks off the hour, which includes cuts by Richard Shindell, Cosy Sheridan, Dan Hicks, Tom Waits, Iris Dement, Alison Krauss and Doug Smith.

Keith Summers returns to "Mulberry Tree" to guest host for Emily this week, with some very early Neil Young, as well as tracks by Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, Bonnie Raitt, John Prine, Kris Kristofferson, and Nanci Griffith among others.
